Enrol on a Prince’s Trust course and boost your career prospects

The full-time, 12-week programme is available to 16-25 year olds who aren’t in education or employment, with the aim of boosting your confidence, help you meet new friends and gain new skills. No prior qualifications are needed, just a willingness to learn and get involved.  The Team Programme is delivered in the classroom, online and out in the local community in partnership with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.

Actor Sally Carman appointed as first Performing Arts patron

Sally, who is also known for her role as Kelly Maguire in popular TV series ‘Shameless’, visited Shena Simon campus on Friday 20 September, 2019, and met with Musical Theatre and Acting students. During a Q&A with them, Sally credited her coal mining father for her success, explaining how he had worked overtime to enable her to attend drama school.

Phase two of Middlewood Locks development

Phase two of Middlewood Locks development - 546 new homes are being built in Salford. "A PLANNING application for phase two of the £700m Middlewood Locks development of 546 new homes in Salford has been submitted.It has been tabled by FairBriar International which recently started work on the 24-acre site.Scarborough Group, owned by the McCabe family, received outline consent from Salford City Council in March 2015, followed by detailed consent for phase one for around 571 homes in December." - Business Desk

Students Shortlisted for Publicity Association Awards

Katy also encouraged Ray’s nomination and spoke highly of her naturally inquisitive mind and first-rate artistic ability. Katy added: Like Lily, Ray has made the most of opportunities inside and outside the College. Ray completed work experience with the BBC, developing and pitching a campaign for the BBC show 'The Capture’.
