Two students at The Manchester College celebrate Oxbridge success

Jeneve Hines-Braham will study English at the University of Cambridge after passing her Access to HE in English, Writing and Media course, delivered in partnership with the College’s higher education partners UCEN Manchester . While Jamie-Louise Lucas is off to study Law at the University of Oxford thanks to her outstanding A-Level results; A* in English Literature, A* in Psychology and A in History.

Cream of Manchester exhibits the next generation of Mancunian artists

The Future Creatives partnership supports our students by providing a unique live brief, to explore Manchester and present a fresh perspective about their city.  2024 marks the eighth iteration of the collaboration, and this year’s event was one of the biggest, being held over two venues and featuring almost 400 works from 350 talented Visual Arts students. The joint exhibition kicked off with a launch event at the Manchester Art Gallery which included performances from our talented Music and Performing Arts students and a selection of our Visual Arts students’ work curated specifically to illuminate the connections that were the driving force of the brief.

Record Store Day 2021: Dave Fortune interview

I buy records all the time anyway and I’m more interested in discovering new music than a lot of the special editions and reissues that make up a lot of the RSD releases. Having said that, I think it’s great that RSD generates more interest in record shops and helps them make more money at a time when lots of them a struggling to survive.

The Manchester College prepares for the ECFA Men’s Premier Cup Semi-Final

Our men’s first team have beaten Burnley College (3 rd Round), TNS North Shropshire College (4 th Round), Newcastle Under Lyme College (5 th Round) and Tresham College in the Quarter-Final to give themselves a great chance of lifting the trophy.
