(Full Time - 36 weeks)
Focusing on building a sound skills and knowledge base across the land-based subjects, this qualification provides a good foundation to allow you to progress to further learning and begin to specialise in areas such as Animal Care.
A City & Guilds Level 1 Diploma in Land-based Studies is for anyone who is thinking about or interested in a career working with wild or domestic animals and/or managing our natural environment.
After gaining a sound basis in Health & Safety in the Land Based industries, you will go on to study animals in the wild, uses and domestication of animals, handling and restraint and many other aspects of the industry.

Assessments take place throughout the year in both assignment form and in two externally set, externally assessed exams.
Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners will be able to seek employment in the Land-Based industries at an entry level, or progress onto the City and Guilds Level 2 course if they meet the requirements set.
