Music Performance tutor to present master’s paper at international symposium - A Music tutor at The Manchester College will be speaking at an industry-leading symposium in Poland in August to present a paper she penned for her master’s degree. Rosie Fortune teaches on the Level 3 Music Performance course in our Industry Excellence Academy for Music at City Campus Manchester . Alongside teaching, Rosie is studying for a master’s degree in Voice Pedagogy at the Voice Study Centre.

Madelyn’s lockdown video wins DEVA/Hack competition - A student from The Manchester College has won the Digital Entrepreneurs and Video Artists Hackathon (DEVA/Hack) for the second year in a row. Madelyn Brennan, a first-year Level 3 Creative Media student at the College, won the prize after producing a short video about keeping in touch with friends based on her experiences during lockdown.

Nicholls football students turn professional players

He said: “There were moments when I questioned the time I’d spent playing football and worried that I’d wasted my time, but I also made sure I passed Level 3 Engineering because education is important to me.” Lamin moved from The Gambia to Huddersfield five years ago. The 20 year old midfielder had trials at a number of clubs across Yorkshire and Lancashire, and even played for League 2 Preston North End Football Club for two years.
