The Manchester College and UCEN Manchester receive £2.8m to reduce carbon footprint

To achieve Greater Manchester’s commitment to becoming a carbon neutral city region by 2038, the College is committed to reducing emissions in line with the GMCA's ambitions. This includes the brand new city centre campus becoming zero carbon by 2028. The £2.8m grant secured by the College comes from the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS), funded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and delivered by Salix Finance.

Leading director holds audition workshop with students

The Performing Arts (Musical Theatre) and Level 3 Acting students attended two separate workshops led by Yusuf, which included a Q&A session about the Arts Ed. courses and practical audition advice where Yusuf worked with the students on their audition monologues to assist them in getting prepared for their up-coming drama school auditions.  Yusuf, who has worked himself in film, TV and theatre and directed at the National Theatre, praised the college’s “enthusiastic and focused students”.
