Fees, Finance & Funding Funding information for EU nationals The UK left the EU and free movement between the UK and the EU has ended. The UK’s new points-based immigration system applies and treats EU (other than Irish citizens) and non-EU citizens equally. Students who are nationals of EU (or EEA) countries (other than Irish citizens) who enter the UK after 31 December 2020 are not automatically eligible for funding and must be able to demonstrate that they are legally resident in the UK to be funded.

If you feel that you would benefit from having a full diagnostic assessment, qualified assessors can be found on either the BDA website, PATOSS website or SASC website. Assessments tend to cost between £350-£700, especially if you are wanting to use it as evidence for an application for DSA.

Students cook up a treat for Mary Berry

The team of 20 arrived in the afternoon and helped to set up 25 tables before greeting guests and serving drinks and canapes. They also proved their kitchen credentials by working with three top North West chefs – Simon Shaw, Adam Reid and Andrew Green – to produce a menu which included a starter of handpicked white crabmeat with advocado and gazpacho, lemon yoghurt and lavash bread, and dessert of white chocolate mousse, shortbread, honeycomb and rhubarb gel.

Creative media students shine in skills competitions

We are really proud of the students who represent the college at such prestigious and difficult events Tanner Squire won a place in the semi-finals of the WorldSkillsUK 3D Games Art Competition, which will be held at South Thames College.  Ryan Taylor also did very well but just fell short of a top 20 place. Ben Elson, Divisional Team Leader for Business, Computing and Creative Digital Industries, said: “We have had several learners compete in finals in the last three years and have won a Gold, a Bronze and a Highly Commended Medal.

‘Outstanding’ Achievement Tutor named as one of the best in the country - An Achievement Tutor at The Manchester College has been named as one of the top three Outstanding Personal Tutors in the country. Louise Ince, a Senior Achievement Tutor for Creative Industries, finished as a runner-up in the Further Education Tutorial Network’s (FETN) prestigious Outstanding Personal Tutor Award.

Animation Students Have ‘Motion Poems’ Screened at Event

In Greater Manchester, they work with a hub of schools, The Manchester College, creative employers and other charities to nurture learning experiences which aim to develop young learners’ appetites and zest for learning by placing curriculum learning in real world situations and in response to real world problems.  The Comino Foundation asked young creatives to create words, images and videos which shared their personal feelings about 'What it means to be human' in the context of lockdown.
