Judges will now visit the College (Covid-19 restrictions permitting) between December 2020 and February 2021 to further assess the work that the College does The overall winners will be announced in Spring 2021.

Actor Sally Carman appointed as first Performing Arts patron

Sally, who is also known for her role as Kelly Maguire in popular TV series ‘Shameless’, visited Shena Simon campus on Friday 20 September, 2019, and met with Musical Theatre and Acting students. During a Q&A with them, Sally credited her coal mining father for her success, explaining how he had worked overtime to enable her to attend drama school.

Most of the students that come here have a passion for animals, so this course is a great stepping stone to a career in the animal care sector. You do need qualifications to be a dog groomer or dog walker, but you also wouldn’t be able to go onto university without the qualification.

The winners of the BBC Creative Media Camp recently had an industry experience day with the BBC, meeting with senior creatives who shared examples of their work and fielded questions about finding success in the industry.
