The judges were so impressed by the nomination that they ‘highly commended’ The Manchester College's entry. The ceremony took place on Thursday 10 March at Manchester City Football Club’s Etihad Stadium. The awards, which recognise and reward organisations, teams and individuals for their contributions to building a better future through technology, formed part of the Digital City Festival, an event that ran between Monday 7 and Friday 11 March .

Students attend employability event at Cisco Manchester

Keith is The Manchester College’s Cisco partner contact, and has worked at Cisco Systems for more than 10 years, travelling to many countries as part of his job, including the United States of America and Russia. Keith likes working with students to promote the brilliant aspects of learning Cisco CCNA, and puts that knowledge into an employability type scenario to emphasise the need for more trained Networking Engineers in the industry.

Talented students take top spot in skills competition

Talented students take top spot in skills competition - Students from The Manchester College showcased top vocational talent to bring home the medals during the Greater Manchester Colleges Group (GMCG) skills competition 2019. The annual event comprises of a series of competitions at 10 colleges across the region, with students competing in a number of career based challenges. Brickwork, painting and decorating, plastering, carpentry and joinery, and electrical skills were put to the test during the Construction competition, held at Stockport College on 28 March.

Schools enjoy Digital T Level Taster Days with Lloyds Banking Group

The College partnered with Lloyds to offer three Digital Taster Days to Year 9 and 10 learners from five local schools. The taster days provided the learners with an understanding of T Levels at The Manchester College by meeting T Level tutors and hearing from current first- and second-year T Level students, who spoke about their experience on the programmes.
