Anthony Crolla and our students offer their support for The Christie

Brazil came out victorious after an afternoon of competitive football played in a fun and relaxed environment, with great sportsmanship shown by all participating. Other students from across our College also got involved in the fundraising. Our Hair and Beauty students offered a range of treatments while the tournament was taking place, and our Business students organised a separate event at our Nicholls campus, with monies going to the same cause.

Staff at Manchester’s iconic Hilton hotel enjoy belated Christmas party with the help of The Manchester College students

Students provided support with everything from preparing the exquisite menu (devised by Team Leader Howard Wallace), to service and entertainment, ensuring all the staff had a night to remember after another demanding festive season. Maxine Gunning, Head of Department for Service and Retail Industries at The Manchester College, arranged the work experience opportunity for students and attended the event to witness first hand their hard work.

The Manchester College to co-host Art Assembly 2022

As a process and platform, Art Assembly will seek to rethink the way we embrace culture as a city and as a society, and champion how art and culture can play a part in educational experiences for all people, and vitally, in extending what we might learn together, and how. The Centre of Excellence for Visual Arts at The Manchester College has three of the eight co-commissions for Art Assembly, and is are currently seeking applications from contemporary visual artists living and/or working in Greater Manchester.
