The Manchester College launches new industry-sponsored Architectural and Construction Engineering Scholarship

The scholarship will see its first intake start this September 2019. The companies are all leading constructors with a North West combined portfolio in excess of £700m and are significant contributors to the UK and Greater Manchester’s economy in both financial and social terms.

Creative & Digital Students Fly High After RSPB Experience

We left the brief fairly open to give the students creative freedom and encourage them to come up with their own concepts. This proved to be the right move - my colleagues and I have been so impressed with the materials produced. The student’s creative aptitude was evident in their ideas and in their final designs.

The Angel of Angel Meadow

A huge thank you to the volunteers who stuck around and gave it their all. Hopefully i'll see some of you at the installation and of course the launch! This project will give them invaluable experience working to a live brief, working through a combination of traditional handcraft techniques with computer-based modelling and pattern cuttings; a process expected to take three weeks.
