Michael Ward, Level 2 Hairdressing “I thought I knew a lot already about hairdressing but at The Manchester College, I’ve learned how to cut properly and to blow dry to a professional level, it’s just been amazing really. Animation Students Have ‘Motion Poems’ Screened at Event

Tutor Katy Rushton added: “This project came at the perfect time as I wanted to introduce my new animation first years to working with type. The subject matter of the poems gave the animation students a lot of scope to be creative and visualise how the typography could tell the stories of the poems.

The Manchester College Students in Platinum Jubilee Pageant

Divano Gordon and Jordan-Louis Chisholm worked on the photoshoot, alongside fellow students Mya Ellis, Marcus Hough, Paris Bate, Isabella Ekwugha and Conner Perry.    On hearing the news their poster had been chosen, Jordan said: “It was just surreal, I don't think there are any other words I could pick. It had been months since the shoot and so to hear that one of our photographs had been chosen for something so momentous as to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee has left me at a total loss for words.”
