Men Football Team Association of Colleges Champions 2023/24

Men Football Team Association of Colleges Champions 2023/24 - The hard work and sacrifices have paid off for The Manchester College’s men’s football team, who are celebrating after winning the Association of Colleges North West Men’s Regional League 1. 18 students studying courses at the College were part of the squad that amassed 35 points from 14 league games over the course of the 2023/24 academic year. The squad, who competed against seven other colleges based in the North West and finished the season with only one defeat on their record, pipped Hopwood Hall College to the title by three points following a long, competitive campaign, which involved three training sessions and a match each week.

Students support unique art festival

Stencilled botanical designs inspired by 18th and 19th century working-class botanist societies in Manchester will decorate city centre streets thanks to fashion students from The Manchester College and artists Anna FC Smith and Helen Mather. The Manchester College’s students will also work on a guerrilla photography exhibition that will grow throughout the day long festival and feature on hoardings across the city centre.

The group are holding a collection in Westlands Canteen at the Openshaw campus from 12pm-2.30pm tomorrow, but there are collection points at each campus should anyone wish to donate a gift - just ask at reception.
