I’d like to cook the dish in the future and experiment with the flavours, such as using other white fish. I’m enjoying the course a lot. Having two tutors is great because you get taught the same dish in two completely different ways, as every chef has a different way of doing things. We cook a variety of different dishes and cuisines, which is fun to do.

Patisserie students win international dessert competition

Patisserie and Confectionary students entered the Asian Plate Art Awards , showing off their skills by making beautiful Asian desserts and submitting images for judging. College students entered 13 dishes, earning three Certificate of Merits, four Bronze Awards, five Silver Awards and one Gold Award, for Level 3 student Taylor-Jade Frendo’s entry.

What Can You Do with a Level 3 Computing Qualification?

Lucas Yan (pictured right) has ambitions to work in gaming hardware and sees the practical aspect of the course as a big advantage: My aim is to go into hardware engineering and create the new generation of graphics for the video or gaming industry. I like the practical element of this course, you get to complete real life briefs and project work which is what we will be doing once employed. That mix of creativity, coding, problem-solving and hardware knowledge helps students understand where they might fit in the vast tech ecosystem, and gives them something to show employers or universities.
