Simran returns to offer games workshop to students

Simran Whitham left the College in 2015 after studying our Level 3 Extended diploma in Games Development and launched his own business, Tri-Heart Interactive, with fellow university graduate Kieran Rogers. Adult Education in Manchester: A Guide to Funding Options

They must be studying a Level 3 or Level 4 course. This includes Access to Higher Education diplomas, and some other certificates and diplomas. They must have been a resident in the UK for the last three years. Learners can also apply if they are a member of the UK armed forces serving outside of England and studying distance learning.

Grace O’Reilly is one student celebrating after gaining a Grade 6 in English and is looking forward to starting an Access to Higher Education Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery this September. Will shortlisted for top digital award

This is massive achievement considering Will was not even 18 when he created his animation just under a year ago. Will, who completed his UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma last year, is currently continuing his studies with a degree in Animation at the University of Hertfordshire. Postcard project portrays life in lockdown

‘ Postcards from the Edge ’ was created by students on the Level 3 Art and Design Diploma and their tutor, Eve Robinson.  The project began with students expressing their lockdown feelings through art created on a postcard, which was then extended to friends, family and the community aged between four to 86.

Visual Arts students host Whitworth Gallery workshops

Visual Arts students host Whitworth Gallery workshops - A group of twenty students from The Manchester College’s Centre of Excellence for Visual Arts have spent weeks getting to know the ins and outs of Whitworth Art Gallery as part of an exciting work experience project. The students, who are all studying our Level 3 Diploma in Creative Practice: Art, Design and Communication, have got to know all parts of the gallery and how they work.  They’ve had talks from the Museum’s Director, artist in residence and a number of curators, exploring the variety of jobs available in the arts sector, including hidden jobs they weren’t aware of before the work experience project began.
