Students promote health awareness - Health and social care students at The Manchester College have put on a lively health promotion day. The students on our Level 2 Health and Social Care course, came up with the idea after studying health and wellbeing as defined by the World Health Organisation (WHO). They wanted to educate their fellow students about the impact health risks can have on an individual and look at ways to improve awareness.

This could be either with the College or to degree-level courses with higher education provider UCEN Manchester. Scheduled sessions will take place on the following dates, times and locations: Monday 13 May – Harpurhey 3-5pm Tuesday 14 May – Nicholls 3-5pm Wednesday 15 May – Openshaw and Welcomb Street 3-5pm Thursday 16 May – Northenden (including Wythenshawe) 3-5pm Friday 17 May – Shena Simon – 2-4pm Karen Wright, Assistant Principal, said: “It’s important that all our students are thinking ahead in terms of their career.
