A number of our Business & Professional students had the opportunity to visit  The Workplace Safari at DF Capaital Headquarters in Manchester! 

Our students spent a full afternoon at DF Capital Headquarters in Manchester. The amazing event was set up as a workplace safari, including an inspirational talk from the CEO about DF Capital. 

With lots of young people wanting to start their own business venture, our students were keen to learn when the organisation was founded, the journey it has been on and the mission and vision of the business to understand its success!
Students had the chance to find out about the work life culture at DF Capital through a Q&A sessions with the Chief Sustainability & People Officers. This was followed by a grand tour around the office, where employees gave an overview of each departments, the job roles and its overall function. By the end of the experience, all our students took part in a quiz where they were able to gain an insight on the hidden job roles within a bank 

The afternoon was a great success and all students said that they really enjoyed the experience.

My students returned from this visit emphasising how amazing it was to reveal how many hidden jobs there are in an organisation such as this. It’s clearly given them food for thought for potential careers to explore
