Students from Connell College and Manchester Enterprise Academy, as well as students from our own Level 3 sports courses have been spending time at our Openshaw Campus over the last few months to experience the life of a sports student first-hand.

Jardel Cochrane one of the students on the Level 2 carpentry and joinery course who are working on the project: “I found it interesting. I like the practical side and I really enjoyed doing it.”

Band of Builders visited the Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery students in December 2018 to talk about the work they did and the online ACT (Apprentice Training College) group, which allows students to share construction projects and receive professional advice.

The students, who are currently studying Level 3 Year 1 QCF Business at Northenden, presented their self-penned and illustrated children’s book, Terry the Tiger’s Adventure , to a panel of industry specialists at the Young Enterprise Showcase Final.
